The Black Sea regional forecasting system for the Georgian Black Sea coastal zone and adjoining water area, which is one of the components
of the basin-scale nowcasting/forecasting system, is expanded with inclusion 2D and 3D mathematical models of spreading oil and other impurities. At present time, the regional forecasting system is functioning in the near real time and provides 3 days’ forecasts of sea dynamic fields – the current, temperature and salinity with 1 km resolution, but in special situations the system will also provide to calculate impurity’s concentrations and pollution areas.
