The article deals with the actual issues of using information - computer technologies and the Internet in teaching Russian language at
Faculty of Humanities of Akaki Tsereteli State University. It highlights the motivating role of Internet technologies in the training courses of linguistic disciplines. The article also describes the problems of using computer technologies in Georgia and developing students’ skills of working with computer technologies including the Internet.
It is noted that many teachers and students still have an open question about the ways of using such resources, their search and selection according to the discipline, the theme, the level, the interests, as well as to the requirements of modern education, which determine the actuality of our topic.
It discusses about the necessity of serious, special qualified courses and trainings for using information and computer technologies and the Internet to raise the involvement of students and teachers in this field.
